The word for today is ... WHEW!

Early this am we sent two teams to different locations to start building houses for Casa Por Christo. Team One (photos marked w/ "t1") started a 2 room house by pouring a 22x11 foot cement slab. Problems w/the generator slowed but did not stop them. Team Two (photos marked w/ "t2") lost the use of their mixer and had to mix most of the slab by hand, and then they were rained out. Team One came back for lunch and was able to return back to the site to build walls.

All in all it was a very challenging day, but at the end of day we are eager for more!
