It is so powerful to sit back and watch all the things God can do! He is so good!
Today we finished painting and reparing the benches for the church. While we were painting a group of ladies preparred food for the workers who are building a second floor on the church.

Lunch was very interesting. I enjoy fish, but eating trout with the head and tail attached is not particuraly a preferance of mine- especially when sitting next to Peter Johnson who enjoys letting you know exactly what your eating! After some cute pictures of my scrumptious meal, we headed out for the 4th day of VBS.

We continue to have a good number of kids in attendance- I believe about 240 today. After playing soccer and with parachutes in the park, we lead the kids to the plaza were we opened with the performace of the drama were your heart is. After that, Mr. Rivers VBS perfomed their drama and passed out crosses that the kids colored. They really seemed to enjoy this and got very creative. For snack we passed out gummies-which also turned into Michael S. giving his gum out after we ran out.

After our daily devotion time as a team- we went to the church for their night service.
Before the sevice we were at dinner when we heard a parade walking down the street. All the kids have been preparing for independancee day which is monday. as we watched the parade, we realized that one of the moutains was on fire-which is quite terifying when 1) you dont like fire in general, and 2) -liracy is not really know for fires- yet alone the fact that the water is not always running. So that was a moment of - ok God- its all in your hands!

The church enjoys listening to us sing, so we sang Open the eyes of my heart lord and i love you lord to open the service. Michael gve a wonderful testimony and then we perfomed the everything drama. I love this drama so much. It is the one about a girl( the part i play) who is created by God then is tempted by things of this world. After experimenting with Lust, self harm, and other things that are of this world, i am given a gun. After the battle of to shut or not to shut, i have to fight to get back to God. In the end, all is well and i am excepted in his arms. While we were perfoming this drama, a group of elderly men were arguing becasue they did not understand why i was being thrown around so abusively. Once i explained the drama- and how i was tempted by the world and once i realized that i had to fight to get back to Jesus who always is waiting for us and will except us no matter what, a sense of calm and satisfaction eased the room. Mathew gave the message and talked about your talents and what you do with them-do you serve God or yourself.

So I encourage you to think who are you serving- do you spend your time of this world, or along the side of our Father who no matter what will always be waiting for us.
In him,
Alli Glensor

Hola,

We are having a great time here in Lircay. We spent the morning working at the church. We painted all the benches that are used for theworship services. Men are working on the second floor of the church and several our guys helped with a rebar delivery. The young people are all being great and the people from the church are very appreciative. We are all learning things that you just cant get unlessyou experience them. The Holy Spirit works regardless of language or cultural differences.

In the afternoon it was my groupsVBS. Ashlee Wilson and Mike Shoelon did a great job, with a supporting cast that included mos of the team. We told the story of Joseph and the multi colored coat. The 200 plus kids paid attention enjoyed the craft and snack. Then we headed back for our group devotion time. The team is really getting to know each other and open up. A recurring theme is,how do we keep the same attitude at home that we have here and finding a way to hold each other accountable and spur each other on. After dinner we were treated to a local parade. The town is gearing up for independence day which is Monday. Then it was off to church for a service. The team insisted that I sing with them and I did quietly. Mathew preached on the parable of the talents form Mathew 25. One of the women from the church insisted that Mateo
never gets old. God has been great we are all relatively healthy. I think we are all growing and allowing God to speak to us and through us.
