TEAM LIMA
Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Tuesday was a great day! After breakfast we went to a school and painted the entire basketball court. It was a lot of fun but it was kinda hard to get all the paint off our hands when we were finished. After we finished painting we took the bus back to the seminary and ate a delicious lunch. After lunch we all loaded back onto the bus and went to VBS at Nocheto. When we first got there we played outside with the kids. After we played a little while we sat them down and performed our drama about Daniel and the Lions Den and then they did the craft. The kids created lion heads out of paper plates and little yellow pieces of paper as a mane for the lion. We played a game of simon says that did not work too well and so ultimatly we ended up letting the kids play whatever game they wanted to. We then went back to the seminary for dinner, had our devotional time and went to bed. Tuesday was a great day!

So let's try this again... I wrote the blog, but I lost it because my email logged me out right as I was about to send it to Rachel so she could post it on the website. LAME. (She is doing a great job by the way – sorry about not having the pix up right away from the last 2 days – she didn't have internet on the only comp she could load pix on. Sry!)

First of all thank you all SO MUCH for praying for us!! You are being such a CRUCIAL part of the team by praying – continue to do so as much as possible, please!

Today was a long day, but SUCH a great day! No one was sick today!! We had breakfast at 7 (just the way we like it!), and went out to a school in Santa Rosa and did all 4 of our dramas and our dance. Maggie Patton gave her testimony, which was great! Gotta love those Pattons. Michael P. is like a celebrity here!! Kids come to me and ask me 1 of 4 things: Where is Miguel(Michael P.), where is Zak, or where are my brothers/Dad. Almost as soon as Zak steps off the bus onto the playground, he literally has a single-file line of kids, waiting to be spun around. He seems to never get tired of it – it's amazing!

After about 2 hours at that school, we went to paint the lines on the basketball court for a different school. We came back for lunch, and went out for VBS! VBS went really smoothly. Tonight our group (Dad, Adrianna, Giancarlos, Steven D. And I) led the group with Daniel and the Lionś Den as our theme! The drama was so fun – we chose some of the kids to be our lions (led by Hazel!). Thank you Mrs. Romani for all of your help preparing!

The rest of the night is dinner and team time/student-led devotionals. Please pray for us, that we wouldn't be distracted, and that we would continue to have energy, patience, and that essential moldable heart. Pray that God would change us this week to be more like Him!

Love you all.
