     Hola from lima.

Wow, we´ve made it so far. Wednesday we split up into 2 groups. Some went to Santa Rosa to do touch ups on the piant job for the basketball court. Others went to Pareles and from there we split up into 3 groups to pick up trash around the city. The group that I was in had help from some kids that we met during VBS. We also had escourts from the Police. It was awesome! While my group and I picked up trash. i stumbled on a very small dog that had fleas and what looked like mange as well. It follwed me everywhere while I picked up trash. That was an awesome experience. As soon as we finshed we went back to a small church were I left the dog. Some people weent to go play with the kids others helped construction workers carry cement. While I played with the kids that same dog had somehow found me again. I prayed over the small dog that God would watch over it. Most of the dogs down here are mean, but somehow this tiny dog trusted me enough to follow me. Well enough about the dog... After we played with the kids for a bit we left to eat lunch. 2 hours lqater we went back to Pareles to set up for VBS. We played with the kids for a bit and then we did some singing, dramas, and preaching. After VBS was over it was time to say goodbye. Alot of the kids were crying because they knew that they woulnt see us again. One girl Lady that I had befriended didnt want me to leave she wrote me a few letters one said "I want to come vist your home" in spanish. I wanted to cry. I had bought her some chochlolate the night berfore and gave it to heras well as one of my STR. silver rings. I told her that I loved her and that we would see eachother again someday. After we said our goodbyes we headed off to dinner. We joked around and said that "the kids were small enough to fit in our bags and take them home with us." We then headed back to the hotel and rested. It was a very emotional day for all of us. Alot of the girls had recived gifts from the kids so we can always remember them and they will always be in our hearts!!! Well that is it for now. Hope to be home soon.

Mucho Love,
Natalie Marie

NOTE: THIS WILL MOST LIKELY BE THE LAST UPDATE FOR APPROX 48 HOURS. WE WILL BE ON THE ROAD BY BUS AND TRAIN TO LIRACAY.WE WILL BE SPENDING THURSDAY NIGHT IN A SMALL VILAGE BETWEN HERE AND OUR DESTINATION. WE WILL TRY TO FIND INTERNET ACCESS, BUT CANNOT GUARENTEE SUCCESS. PLEASE PRAY THAT OUR TRAVEL WILL BE SAFE.

Today was a producive day of hard work, hard play, worship and a few tears. It was the third day of work projects in the morning followed by VBS in the afternoons. The work groups today were divided into 2 groups. 1) Painting fences and or playgrounds. 2) Picking - up trash in the town, while meeting and greeting the people you come in contact with.

One special part about the 3rd day of doing this was the children of the town followed us and helped in the cleaning task. It is actually a fun and rewarding experience that is designed to draw new members to the church.

The VBS included a drama, singing, and our special crowed pleasing "Every Move I Make" group dance performed by our whole team. They even asked for an encore!

A few tears were shed because today was our last day in Lima and it was time to say goodbye tothe children we have come to love as we are moving on to Lyricay tomorrow.
