LEADERS BLOG:

Whew, what a day! We made our tearful goodbyes to some of the YWAM staff who were not driving to the airport with us. We will miss them, but will continue to pray for what they do!

It took about 2 1/2 hours to reach the border of Mexico and the US. It then took around three hours of waiting in overly warm vans. This is the weekend that Texas suspended its' sales tax for school items, so the citizens of Mexico poured across the border to take advantage of the sales. This caused a huge traffic jam. We eventually got thru and arrived at Mc Allen Airport in plenty of time to cool off and refresh ourselves before the flight. We also ran into a Mission Team from another church that was also returning from the mission field in Mexico. We met when we were heading out earlier in the week at the same airport.

Our flight was delayed taking off, as was our connection in Dallas/Ft Worth. We made the connection with enough time to buy some dinner, etc. While we waited, we prayed for the comfort of one of our adult team members, who wasn't feeling well. The plane took off late, and was delayed in flight due to weather, and we landed at Dulles at around midnight, to be met by our family and friends.

God has blessed us all during this time, and we have truly appreciated your prayers! What's next? Recovery, reflection, and then starting to plan next year's CBSM mission trip!

BTW, what's the capitol of Peru?

His,

Bruce Marusich
