LEADER BLOG:

We had a VERY easy day. We slept in late (9am), had a light breakfast, and traveled to a local market for shopping. Most of us had lunch at McDonalds, where everything but the fries taste the same as home, and then went to a nature park on top of one of the mountains. We had a mission trip debriefing session where we all shared on video what the trip had meant to us. It was a very moving time.

We then went over to two huge slides made out of polished concrete, and had a great time sliding down and trying not to leave too much skin on the deck. (note to Ellen Smith...OWWWWWWWWWIE!).

After the slide we headed to downtown Monterrey to eat at Mathew's favorite place that sold EXCELLENT tacos! The current record is seven tacos. We then headed out for Troles, a delicious ice cream/freezy kind of treat.

After the dessert run, we headed back to base for evening duties and packing.

It's going to be a LONG travel day tomorrow!
