Mission Trip to Las Vegas, Day Five:
July 9th 2003

By Jerri Cacopardo

What a day! We started with breakfast at the hotel (mmmm danish... again) and then went to the YWAM base. We had quiet time and then a world breakfast. We all drew numbers from a basket and had to sit at the table with that number. One table had a full meal, the next had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, table 3 had bread had water, table 4 had rice, tabe 5 had nothing, and table six wasn't exactly a table... poor Jill and "Flubs" were homless and were only able to eat if someone donated food. The meal was part of the 10/40 focus lesson. We then prayed and fasted.

During our fast, we had a carwash. After suds and water fights, we had an early dinner. Quickly after dinner, we went to the Vegas Mission and shared testimonies and dramas. It went extremely well, and Jill and Peter shared with a man and he almost accepted Christ. We didnt have enough people to share our second program, but we stood on the sidewalk and worshipped. It was an amazing experience for everyone.

One of the best things for me was during my quiet time I had some verses for Ellen and we talked about them together. Later at the Mission, we were talking to a man who basically repeated the verses to us. It was so cool!

Galatians 6:9-10 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 0Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

God Bless,
Jerri
