Peru Team Day #9

Sunday, August 3rd, 2014

     This Sunday was our second Sunday here. We were finally establishing relationships with the Perales team. I was filled with joy as some familiar faces who had been to the VBS came to Sunday Bible classes. We listened to the service and our group performed our usual dramas and songs for the children. As always they kept smiling. The little girl I was with watched me the whole time with so much joy on her face. Afterwards we played with the kids. When the kids had gone home we enjoyed fellowship with the Perales team and played another game of soccer. Returning to the seminary, we ate lunch and had free time. Team time refilled us and then we went to church. The service was amazing and Claire, Kyra, and Destiny sang their beautiful song. Afterwards the goodbyes were hard. In the beginning of the trip the hugs were just a polite thing to honor the custom of the Peruvians but at the end the hugs felt real and the goodbyes were hard. Many were in tears and it was hard to see but we will see these people again. All in all it was a good day. Actually a great day.
