Hola amigos y familia! Como estas!?
This is Ginny and I will be your blogger for this evening! What's going on? :) Anywho, today was interesting, but AMAZING! First off, let me just say that God is so good to us!! Our schedule this morning consisted of attending the children's service at the church at Perales. Moises Buendia (coolest guy ever, for those of you who don't know) welcomed everyone to the service then turned the microphone over to the children's director--a 12 year old girl. I sat down next to a very sweet young man named Jose (who happened to be mentally challenged) and enjoyed the service while trying to clap along with his intricate rhythm and listening to him praise the living God. Amazing? Methinks so! We played a game with the kids (kindof like the purse game. women who have been to bridal showers know what I'm talking about) then sang some more and then did our thang. We performed our dramas and got the perales leadership team to dance along with us. Then my team did our Bring Me To Life skit, which Giancarlo and I re-wrote. (felt like I should add that in there before people saw pictures and freaked out.) Instead of him slapping me, like the skit says to, we decided to spruce things up and have him SPARTAN KICK ME IN THE FACE! :D It was pretty much awesome!!
After church, we loaded the bus and traveled to what Bruce called the "Upper Crusty" part of Lima and chilled at the Parka del Amor (the statue never ceases to be awkward) for a little while. We shall be returning Tuesday because, sadly, there was not enough wind for our paragliders to be taken up. So we shall return! :P Then we went down to the beach and played on the rocks, as we do. Some people jumped in...which was crazayy considering it was freezing. Then we got back on the bus soaking wet. Lovelyy. :P
After the Park, we went to the adult's church at Perales and heard our man Edwing preach it up! En Español! It was so cool to see him up there speaking the Word. So. Awesome. Then Sarah and Zak shared their testamonies and made peoples cry, then we did our thang again and did some skits on the tiny stage. Then we got together and sang Lead Me To The Cross with our man Zak on le guitar, then chilled with the peoples for a little while. Then we went home and got some beautiful, beautiful sleep. And it was wonderful. :)
Well, ladies and gentlemen, this concludes my blog for this evening. Please return your seats to their upright positions (and get your hand off your face. HA! :P) and I'll see all you beautiful people when we return home.
GOD IS GOOD!! ALL THE TIME!!
:)
Sarah, finish it for me! :P
