What a day! After an early departure from the church this morning, we boarded a plane to Panama. The flight was full so we coundn't switch seats, and I was assigned a seat in between two strangers. At first, I was tired and didn't want to start a conversation with the man sitting next to me because I wasn't entirely coherent after only 3 hours of sleep the night before. After an hour or so of sleeping, the man next to me began a conversation about my Peru Team 2010 shirt. I told him all about our trip and where we were going and he began to tell me about his family and the business he owned. He went on to say that he was raised Mennonite, but became a non-denominational Christian by his own choice and wanted his two kids to do mission trips like we were doing. After 3 or so hours of talking about his family and our Peru trip, he asked who the guy standing in the aisle next to our seats was. I told him Mathew was our youth pastor and the leader of the trip. He went on to ask if I had an envelope, and I was a bit confused as to why he would ask for an envelope, so I said, "Um... no... but I have a barf bag?" He pulled out his wallet and put two $100 bills into the barf bag for me to give to Mathew for the Peruvian people! How cool is that?! I didn't want to talk to the stranger next to me, but through talking about our mission trip, God worked in an awesome way to provide more funds for the people of Peru. What a God story! I'm so excited to see what else God has in store since he already moved in an awesome way before we were even 12 hours into our trip!

Today was an amazing day! We said goodbye to our loved ones at Cedarbrook , loaded onto a bus, and went to Dulles Airport. I slept thru most of the flight to Panama, and the same to Lima. We "enjoyed" the usual harrowing ride on the bus to the Seminary. We ate a delicious meal, settled into our rooms, and then had some team time and devotionals. After a quick run to the Metro, which is a sort of WalMart with groceries, we headed back to the Seminary and went to bed. GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME!
